TOMB — Gate of Gehenna

My first impression was definitely the band’s logo. You’ll probably be reminded of IMPIETY during the Ceremonial Necrochrist… era. It’s actually quite unique. So I expected TOMB to be a reincarnation of that filthy and evil Metal era. TOMB has indeed managed to revive that atmosphere — a creation of Black/Death Metal obsessed with utter darkness and malevolence. Perhaps they lack some of the raw filth or savage aggression, as the production here is rather clean and somewhat polished. But the dark feel is there — the gloom, the blasphemy against purity — and they’ve successfully captured that. This band deserves your attention if you’re looking for Black/Death Metal that brings back the glorious age of darkness.
